About My Rides

Since retiring, I've become addicted to long distance bike riding.  First ride was the Northern Route across the USA (2013: Age 65), then the Sante Fe trail (2014), followed by the Pacific Coast Highway (2015).  I then focused on completing some of my shorter "bucket list" rides starting with The Gap (Pittsburgh to DC) (2016) and the Natchez Trace Highway (2017) and Yellowstone Coalition/Montana (2018).

In March 2019 to celebrate my 70th birthday, I rode the Southern Route across the USA (San Diego to St Augustine, FL).

In 2022, I completed the BRAG ride (Bicycle Ride Across Georgia).

The new adventure for 2023.  I am doing my first gravel ride and 3 friends and I will follow the original Pony Express Trail from Nebraska to Missouri.  It's the route the riders used to deliver mail in the 1800's.

And in 2024 (Age 75), I am adding the Florida C2C which is a 225 mile ride across the State.

Let's hope I can keep this going!!!!

FYI: Blogger does not give you the ability to reverse the postings - so the last day of every ride is the first post you will see.  If you look on the right side you will see all the postings for that ride sorted by the Month and Year.  Click on the month/year of the Ride and simply click on the earliest post date.
