About

Since retiring, I've become addicted to long distance bike riding.  First ride was the Northern Route across the USA (2013), then the Sante Fe trail (2014), followed by the Pacific Coast Highway (2015).  I then focused on completing some of my shorter "bucket list" rides starting with The Gap (Pittsburgh to DC) (2016) and the Natchez Trace Highway (2017) and Yellowstone Coalition/Montana (2018).

In March 2019 to celebrate my 70th birthday, I rode the Southern Route across the USA (San Diego to St Augustine, FL). In 2022 I completed the BRAG ride (Bicycle Ride Across Georgia).

Now onto the new adventure for 2023.  I am doing my first gravel ride and 3 friends and I will follow the original Pony Express Trail.  It's the route the riders used to deliver mail in the 1800's.  You can follow along by clicking on the following link:  Pony Express
